RECLAIMING THE OLD COURTYARD BAR

Reclaiming the old Courtyard Bar, Cùl Cùil is the latest addition to the city’s bustling social scene. A 185-year old venue which has recently undergone an astonishing transformation with an extensive refurbishment!

COME IN, GO OUT…The hottest and cùilest and cosiest late-night bar-restaurant in Glasgow’s City Centre. Cùl Cùil is an exciting establishment offering character, comfort with casual dining and socialising combined. Boasting a lounge bar, glasshouse mezzanine, covered and heated backyard garden space as well as offering food, drink, with a varied bistro-style menu.

Situated right in the centre of the city, only two minutes walk from the renowned Style Mile and both Queen St & Central Station.

The food menu boasts some Cùil Classics such as our sliders, or Artisan Italian Pizza. The menu offering also includes traditional (with a twist) favourites . There is also some revamped plant-based vegan and vegetarian options too.

Due to popular demand and because we liked it out there, the renowned Oot The Back covered area was recently extended across the whole space, the perfect heated and covered winter garden. The Glasshouse has also doubled in size too, and with the windows open wide into our fully landscaped garden spectacle, it really could be “Outside you are in”…

The Cùil cosy, intimate vibe, and unique atmosphere, which has made it so special, since opening in Autumn 2018 still remains! In October 2019 we just made things a bit longer, warmer and cosier. Just think – the quirky appeal of spending a relaxing evening with friends sat in our secluded Glasshouse alcove or in the garden, listening to retro vinyl cuts!

Regular diners, special guest drinkers and weekend warriors are spoiled for choice when it comes to stepping inside or out, for a tipple or a tasty treat.

There is taps tradition to top, craft beers, cosy cocktails, gin and rum renowned. You can settle down for a seafood plater, steak or pick away at some small plates on our glass-enclosed urban mezzanine. Much more than your ordinary beer garden. This seasonal spectacle is split over a raised wood terrace amongst plenty of ivies, flowering shrubs, jasmine, honeysuckle and other dramatic greenery. From above on the tiered mezzanine spot, you’ve got a gallery view over a twinkly lit winter garden patio, for when day turns into night.

The refreshed food, drink, and vibe personality covers off-the-wall, quirky, unique, comfortable and pleasant. A perfect setting with the right amount of different. Continental flavours with a brasserie-influence and a town centre twist!

Cùl Cùil just got a whole lot cùiler and promises something “completely different from anything else in the city!
